If your phone has a battery or power plug check that it is working or the battery is good. (some new phones use a battery)

first check the plug in the jack is in properly and theres often a jack in the back of the phone.

If there are other phone jacks in the house try one of them .

Find a working phone line to test your phone .(maybe a neighbor)

If still no dial tone , you can go outside , there is a grey box where the phone line comes in from the street. Open it with a scredriver (one bolt) and you should find a phone jack , with a plug that leads to a screw connection for your house phone wires.

Unplug the jack and plug the phone in and see if you have dial tone.

If you dont then either your phone is dead , the cord is damaged , or your phone service is dead. Plug the original wire back into the jack it came out of , and close that box.

Call the phone company if the outside jack is dead.

Call an electrician or handyman that does house phone wiring to fix the jack thats not working.

If you are paying for the house phone wiring support in your phone bill, then just call the phone company.

High blood pressure and high heart rate are two different things. It sounds like your complaint is about heart rate and not blood pressure. Fast heart rates can have lots of different causes and can be insignificant or life-threatening depending on what’s causing them and what your general physical condition is. You should be evaluated by a cardiologist. Some arrythmias do seem to be influenced by vasovagal activity–like coughing–so be sure to mention the connection you have observed.

Most people do notice arrythmias more at night because they are still and quiet making them more aware of their hearts. Also, heart rate is most noticable when laying on the left side, which of course many of us do at night. A cardiologist will probably put you on a 24-hour Holter monitor, a beeper-sized device, which will record your heart beats using (three?) electrodes on your chest.

I hope your issue is on the “insignificant” side!

Nasi Kandar consists of: u can choose any combination
Steamed rice with…
Chicken curry
Beef in black kandar sauce
Fish fried/curry
Fried fish roe
Salted egg
Shrimp curry etc.
The trick is to choose which dish u want, then the seller will pour a bit of each curry gravy they have. if he didn’t, u can ask him to do so. What shouldnt be missing is the black kandar sauce. The rest is up to your taste bud.

My favourite nasi kandar is of Mahbub Lucky Garden Bangsar (next to BCB/CIMB). The curry isnt that hot and it tastes so good. I have tried Pelita Nasi Kandar at Jalan Telawi Bangsar, its too hot and spicy. Maybe they need their patrons to order more drinks that’s why…

U should give it a try since u are a regular face in Malaysia.

regardless of what the person above me says. rats will not eat their babies if humans touch them (they only do this if there is something wrong with them and they know they wont survive or she cant look after them).
it is advised that you handle the babies from a young age to get them socialised. (from 1 day+) depending on if mum will let you.
rats can have litters that are small or large.
i have pups that are 5 weeks old this week one of my girls had a litter of ten but ate one that wasnt going to survive and my other girl had 12 one died in the night and she ate that one. so now i have 20 babies who are all going to new homes in just over a week.

leave mum and the babies to it for the rest of today as she will need her rest. just keep checking on her and making sure she is ok.
have a count of how many she has had and have a look at their belly’s. they should have a white milk strip. (indicates that they are eating)

as for handling them..if mum lets you put your hand in and gently stroke the pups so they get used to being touched and will get used to your sent..
if mum wont let you leave it and try the next day. or maybe take mum out but let her see waht you are doing..(sit her on your shoulder and reassure her you wont hurt them and ehat a good girl she is)

hope this helped.
good luck and congrats :D

Is it possible to reinstate a cancelled car insurance policy?

It depends, most companies will not, they will require a new application to start the policy again. If it was Progressive and on your renewal date that the policy cancelled, they will accept payment (up to 45 days I believe but that may be different state to state) and restart your policy the day after paid & your policy will have a new renewal date. You will retain the same policy number and coverages - there will be a lapse of coverage but you will not need to reapply.
If it was Dairyland - they will accept payment on a cancelled policy (that was cancelled for nonpayment) midterm. It will be effective on the day after they receive payment (you will need to call to find out how much they need to restart the policy). They will issue a new policy number and but keep the same coverages and no new application will be needed.
The best thing to do is to call your agent if you have one, or call the company directly if you do not.

Do you think it is too late to start a new career all over from scratch.?

It’s not too late to go back to school and get a degree whether it’s nursing or any other course…the questions you have to answer really are the ff: are you prepared to take on a vocation that will stretch the limits of your patience, do you have an open mind to anything, what is your main reason why you want to become a nurse? Financially yes health care is the way to go but I also have to remind you that nursing is truly hard work, you will deal with angry patients and family members, co-workers that are bitter and tired, shortage in staff meaning you may have to work by yourself and do everything that 3 people should do in 8 hours, always be on the look out that you may lose your license in any event that you make a mistake or someone makes a mistake and cost you as well…Nursing is a thankless job most of the time but if you are up to it then go for it. I am a nurse and currently working in a nursing home taking care of 40 patients with 20 staff members under my supervision, the work is stressful but bottom line at the end of the day if I see one patient happy and content of the service I provided it’s all that matters…another thing is to check out nursing schools and compare the preparation courses with what you already have…check out the schools and which hospitals they are affiliated with…so good luck!!!

i know that u wna do everything ur friends are doing but if your one friend got pregnant, would u do the same?
Let your parents know that ur a responsible and good girl and act like you can carry this freedom off. if your acting like one of those messed up teenagers their really going to give you freedom arent they! not.
So now act like you deserve the freedom. let go of this rebellious attitude.
Make a start right n0w.
I wouldnt let my children take a bus, train or go shopping alone! you’ve heard stories on the news so thats a valid point and plus the way your hiding things from them, its a bad step to take.
for gods sake your 13/14!
dont throw your life away!!!!!!!!!!

How can we save a grown tree being cut by some one from his own premises, is it possible ?

(unless it is a tree like Sandalwood cutting of which is prohibited in state of Kerala in India due to endangered condition and difficulty to grow a new one).

The only thing you can tell the fellow is to plant one to replace the one he cut. But even that may not be practical. Instead, go on and plant one on his behalf.

Also understand. Planting trees is not a one-stop solution to global warming. Trees can prevent GW only if they are in tropics. Trees in temperate and polar zones actually help in retaining heat in those cold zones.

Anyway, if someone is trying to cut a tree illegaly from a public place, fight for it tooth-and-nail.

99% of the time the appraisal is used to determine market value (opinion of value). Most appraisals are done for banks. Market value is the price that a typical buyer would be willing to pay for your home. It is found by finding sales of similar properties to yours that sold in the past year, or longer if there weren’t many sales. This assures the bank that if you don’t make your payment that they will be able to get there money by selling the property. Most states require an appraiser to have a license, especially for appraisals for banks and other federally related transactions. There are other values that can be determined by an appraisal. (Example: investment value, used for determining an opinion of value for property or real estate investors)

I was surprise but the wikipedia site had some info that wasn’t too bad. Check out the links below if you want a bit more information…

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_estate_appraisal

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_estate_appraisal

Hope this helps… and by the way, there is also something called a market analysis. That is the opinion of value given to you by a real estate agent.

Hello,I sadly read your story.I’ve been an auto body tech for 40 years.Provided that the damage is confined to a light scrape with the black tire leaving a mark, the estimate is far from fair. The tire mark can be removed with some light polishing or probably by wiping it with a mild solvent such as lighter fluid.

I’ve seen this situation many times before. It’s a classic case of the owner or the repair shop taking advantage of the situation. As it stands now, there are things you can still do about it.First, call your insurance agent and discuss this. There may be laws in your state regarding your liability, especially if you live in a no-fault state.Secondly, let the owner know you believe the estimate may be inflated.Even if they take it somewhere else, the next estimate will probably be as bad.
Insist that the damage be appraised by an impartial party before making any agreements to pay this out of your own pocket.

Don’t let them intimidate you in to falling for this.Tell them you asked the opinion of someone in the business and they told you the bumper doesn’t need to come off,the mark can be spot painted and blended to match, and it shouldn’t cost more than $150.

Good luck with this.Take your time and find out your rights, you don’t need to do anything for a few days.
